COMPUTER VIRUSES

First I’m going to talk about computer viruses. Computer viruses are programs that are made and designed to jump from one computer to another to interfere with the computer operation system. Why? Of course to steal your data and personal information or anything that could be found in your computer. And through viruses hackers can use the stolen data from your computer either to blackmail you or use your stolen identity to commit a crime; most computer users may come in contact with viruses through using the internet, looking for something or trying to download something and giving their email or any personal information to untrusted web sites or attractive fake advertisements that trap internet users who don’t have any ideas about online fraud or they just think it’s a trusted web site due to  very cheap prices or special offers that sometimes say hurry or stocks limited which does not give users time to really think about it. Viruses are just a part of malware. Malware is just a term for malicious software that is designed to cause damage or undesirable actions to a computer system. And malware includes all the following: Viruses, Worms, Trojan horses, Spyware and Rogue security software these are malware and some of these malware are extremely dangerous. They cause heavy damage to the hardware and the software of your computer and could burn the motherboard or the pc or erase all your content including some files of the operating system which causes corruption to the whole operating system that you run. And all these things allowed hackers to steal any of your content.

What’s the point of computer viruses?

So now we know what’s the point of the computer. viruses but this not all. Why were computer viruses made? That we know but who made them? Computer viruses were made by professional computer hackers and spies. They were built to cause damage to real big companies or organization. They could do it just because they can or for some money. They could be hired by other competitors companies or for other personal or non-personal reasons, and the worst level of hackers are spies working for another country or company against the others. there is a different level of hackers and spies, medium level of hackers that what we mostly faces when we use the internet without knowing it. These viruses and malware hide in programs and apps that we downloaded and installed on our computers operating system to steal our identity personal information credit card information or media content of us or our families or friends or related to our work. It’s a huge problem nowadays which faces all internet users it’s not a contained problem so far as the new technology keeps developing and growing every day. It became even harder to control some of it, as there are a many different types of viruses and malware developed and modified by those hackers and spies and this of course effects the internet market, online business and every project available through the internet as there are some free programs scammer and hackers would take this program and put some viruses in it that’s why some times when we download a program it says unknown source.

 Solution

In order to prevent computer viruses and other types of viruses like malware you should be aware of the things you are doing through the internet-visited web sites and downloaded programs. If you are going to download any needed program make sure it’s from the original web site developer or trusted web site and before all of that download or buy an anti-virus that has the ability to keep your computer and operating system save from all types of viruses and automatically update everyday new types of viruses added by the developer and the anti-virus should alarm you if you are about to download infected programs with viruses or untrusted web sites. In order to do all of that you must have a good anti-virus which can prevent all these dangers and keep your computer and all its content save and secure. You’re  anti-virus must be a premium edition to be that good and to provide you with more options. A free edition won’t have many options and can’t catch all different types of viruses; as well it can’t close all back doors that hackers usually use to hack you to steal your stuff or completely damage your system and all content so there are multiple choices for you to pick; you can choose how much security you want and options from anti-viruses. You can do some research over the internet or read from the anti-viruses’ original web sites the information about it and if it’s what you need.

History of chocolate

On August 15, 1502 the European Christopher Columbus was the first to discover cocoa beans and to come in contact with cacao .
The cacao tree was found in Central American rain forests. Cacao is actually a Mayan word meaning "God Food" which is known today as chocolate and the cacao beans were used as currency in Nicaragua and also drunk in the Aztec culture and it was named xcolat by roasting and pounding the seeds of the Cacao tree. Within a few years the first factories of chocolate opened in Spain to dry fermented beans. Chocolate was treasured at that time 10 beans would buy a rabbit and 100 beans would buy a slave. And it was used as currency until the 19th century in some parts of Latin America.    The cocoa powder was a very great idea which was produced in Spain and it got too popular and it was exported to Europe, Netherlands, Italy, France, Germany and England and eating chocolate was first mentioned in England in solid form in the mid 1600’s, then in 1847 chocolate powder was mixed with sugar and milk to be the first milk chocolate drink. The chocolate was considered as healthy food and a cure for fever and cooling the body.
The cocoa tree was not available in every country and so instead of importing cocoa beans the British, the Spanish, the French, and the Dutch started to plant their own cacao that they took out from Central America.
Chocolate began to be manufactured in the United States in 1765. The cocoa beans were brought by John Hanau. Chocolate quickly made its way to the rest of the states. In 1850 the first solid chocolate was made by Joseph Fry by adding cocoa butter to cocoa powder and sugar. In that time chocolate was very popular in most countries but it was made for the very wealthy until 1853 when the numbers of manufacturers were increased. A Dutch chocolate master help decrease the price; also it came within the reach of a wider population. And then later in 1857 Daniel Peter and Henri Nestle mixed milk and solid chocolate to produce the milk chocolate bar. So every country had its different way of mixing chocolate with other things like milk, vanilla, and hot water. And so each country kept trying to find new ways of mixing and making a new product of chocolate. It was not long before they found a way of mixing chocolate with milk as a chocolate bar, not a drink.
In 1824 John Cadbury opened a chocolate shop making chocolate drinks and cocoa. John Cadbury was inspired by the good taste of chocolate so he kept doing what he liked the most and in 1831 John Cadbury crowned his own success by opening a chocolate factory to make the most wanted products of chocolate varieties of drinks, solids and cocoa. John Cadbury retired leaving his business to be continued by his two sons Richard and George and they were successful as they made good changes, making new kinds of eating chocolate. Cadbury as we know it today is one of the biggest chocolate companies in the world. In 1847 Fry and Sons produced a chocolate bar that we know today. Chocolate can be healthy or a sweet vice for the young and the old depending on what kind of chocolate you’re looking for and how much you eat chocolate. The sweet taste of chocolate gives us all, men and women, young and old, a good feeling. It’s even helping us to change our bad stressful mood to normal or even happy. Chocolate nowadays is more popular than ever; there are many factories today all over the world producing different kinds of mixed solid cakes of chocolate, available for everyone with a satisfying price for all.

Reflection summary

So far we have done three summaries and the first one was about horsemen police patrol, which is talking about how important horsemen are and what they do. Horsemen  go in the desert where cars can’t go to protect and search for troublemakers; they start making their way through the desert from 6pm; each pair of horsemen works four shifts. And the second summary was about road crashes, the main cause of child death in the UAE, and how, to help reduce these crashes, the RTA has taken action promoting road safety and authorities also have taken educational action, educating children about road safety and also for parents to to use special seats for children and to keep their children below ten years old in the back seat for their children’s safety. And finally we read about the pearls of the Arabian Gulf. The proud tradition of pearl diving in the UAE may be gone but it’s certainly not forgotten as the two companies, EMEG and Jumeirah, reconnect Emiratis and tourists with the past by forming a new pearl diving eco tour.

Tour provides insight into pearl diving

The Arabian Gulf was one of the largest natural diving economies in the world. The proud tradition of pearl diving in the UAE may be gone but it’s certainly not forgotten. To reconnect Emiratis and tourists with the once vibrant pearl economy in the Gulf, Emirates Marine Environmental group (EMEG) and Jumeirah Group have jointly formed a new pearl diving eco tour in waters off Palm Jebel Ali.  Back in the day before cultured pearls cornered the market, scores of Emirati pearl divers would spend weeks aboard a dhow at sea and up to 300 divers per day would explore the depths of the sea in search of the elusive pink pearl.

Road crashes main cause of child death in UAE

Road crashes main cause of child death in UAE

Traffic accidents are the leading cause of death among infants and responsible for 63 per cent of deaths among children aged 14 and younger in the UAE. Although this is a major problem in the UAE, only one law has been passed concerning child restraint in vehicles, that children ten years and older sitting in the passenger seat must wear a seat belt. Souad Al merri, Media supervisor for Sharjah Ladies Club and organizer of the Child Safety-car seats campaign, believes it’s time for authorities to make an effort towards child car seat safety. Today there are car seats made to accommodate children throughout their various stages of growth. Both weight and age are factors to consider when choosing the appropriate child-car seat.Lesley Cully, founder of the buckle up in the back campaign, said that children 13 years and younger should be using a form of restrain in the car other than an adult seat belt. The RTA has taken action to promote road safety and child safety in vehicles by launching the Haseb/Take Care safety campaign. One function of the Haseb/Take Care campaign is educating children about road safety to create good habits from a young age.

Desert horesem keep the pace

A group of horsemen start making their way through the desert searching for troublemakers.
The police horses carry a symbol on their saddles, a falcon with seven stars symboilising the seven emirares. Each emirate has a horse patrol division to monitor areas outside cities, doing the rounds quietly. People underestimate the importance of having a horse patrol division, for they can go where cars can't. The area of Al Awafi is just one of the more popular getaways in the desert, so it is often the focus of patrols. They run from 6pm to midnight, sometimes later. Each pair of horsemen works four shifts. Most of the horsemen are from India. Lt Col Al Merri has been trying for years to recruit Emirati horsemen, but so far has not succeeded.
